Where You're Coming From

The numbers go up. The feedback is good. Motivation is high. That's the easy part.

Remember where you're coming from. Remember who was there for the hardest moments - most of them didn't happen at work. Remember who you met on the way. Some of your decisions turned out to be really good ones. That's not a reason to stand taller. It's a reason to stay humble and give back.

Giving back is how the connection grows. It won't be easy - the daily business doesn't pause for it. Don't expect anything in return. Be yourself, be critical, share feedback. That's how a team works. That's how a community works. That's how society works.

Zeus law: treat everyone with the same respect. No exceptions for titles, numbers, or timing.

And when the numbers go up again, ask the only question that matters: what does success even mean?
